Special Events

Community, as well as providing a safe place for it, is very important to us here at WMBC. Throughout the year we host a variety of events for children and families that are open to the public and usually free of charge. We hope you will join us at the events as we continue to build a safe and loving community in Southwest Houston.

5th Sunday Mission Day

This Sunday, June 30th

Join us as we continue to partner with Southwest Houston United Responds (SHUR) to help our neighbors rebuild their home after Harvey. Church service will begin at 9:30am with work beginning at 10:30am. In March, we were able to work on a house, do yard work for two homes, and canvas our community. This Sunday, we will be working at Shearn Elementary, Rice Elementary, the Ashford Santa Fe Apartments, and the Braes Resale Shop. For information contact Elias Garcia egarcia@wmbc.org.

Vacation Bible School: Power Up

“God’s power has given us everything we need to live a godly life.” (2 Peter 1:3a, NIrV) During this week of interactive learning through 80s/90s-inspired video game themes, kids ranging in age from completed Kinder to completed 5th grade will be challenged to raise their game because knowing God and trusting in Jesus fills each of us with the Power we need! Register ahead of time at wmbc.org/special-events

Fine Arts Camp

We hope you enjoyed the 14th annual Fine Arts Camp at Willow Meadows Baptist Church! It was a fabulous week filled with music, art, creative movement, percussion, and drama. Through these various artistic means of expression, the “Fruit of the Spirit” theme was reinforced and gave the campers an opportunity to better understand the ways in which God calls us to treat one another. Thank you so much to the staff and volunteers for working so diligently to provide a fun and educational experience for each of our campers. We hope to see you all next year!
