SPECIAL EVENTS

Community, as well as providing a safe place for it, is very important to us here at WMBC. Throughout the year we host a variety of events for children and families that are open to the public and usually free of charge. We hope you will join us at the events as we continue to build a safe and loving community in Southwest Houston.

The 15th Annual Fine Arts Camp

Date: June 8-12, 2020

Time: 9:00 am - 12:15 pm

Location: Willow Meadows Baptist Church (4300 W. Bellfort St)

Tuition: $115 per camper - includes a daily snack, t-shirt, and 5 days of professional instruction

Registration closes on May 15. Full tuition MUST be paide by that date. Due to the cost of staffing and materials, refunds will not be available after may 15, 2020

Fine Arts Camp is a five-day event that gives children ranging in age from 3 and a half (bathroom independent) through completed 5th grade the opportunity to create art, drama, and music taught by an experienced faculty of local Houston professionals. Our theme for 2020 is all about vision. Through artistic means of expression we will reinforce when, where, and how we see God, and finally how God sees us. Register today!

Have You Heard?/Christmas Around the Table


Join us at December 22 at 10:45am in the Sanctuary as the Jubilate Choir sings "Have You Heard" by Joel Raney. Immediately following the cantata, we will head down to the gym for Christmas Around the Table for fellowship and food! Bring your favorite brunch item to share with 12 or more and join us!

Christmas Eve Service


Join us in the Sanctuary for a service of carols and candle lighting on December 24th at 5:30pm. We will celebrate Christmas with song, sermon, and setting candles alight as we prepare for this joyous time!

Wednesday Night Activities


There will be no Wednesday night activities 12/18, 12/25, or 1/1. Everything will resume on 1/8/2020.

Join us for a time of fellowship and growth. Dinner will be served at 5:30PM ($5/adults, $2/children under 12), followed by your choice of activities. Our pastor, Craig, will be doing a series on Church History from 6:15PM-7:00PM in the Fellowship Hall. Lifeline Moms meets at 6:15PM-7:00PM in Room 205 if you are looking for a time of friendly fellowship and prayer. If you have a heart for music, the choir rehearses each Wednesday evening at 7:15PM, and all levels of musician are welcome! Childcare is FREE during this time!

For the kids:

Faithweaver Friends, for Kinder-2nd Grade: We will play games, act out stories from the Bible, and become better friends with Jesus.

Handbells with Mrs. Diane, for 3rd Grade and up: We will create beautiful sounds by learning handbell techniques and basic music theory.
