Special Events

Community, as well as providing a safe place for it, is very important to us here at WMBC. Throughout the year we host a variety of events for children and families that are open to the public and usually free of charge. We hope you will join us at the events as we continue to build a safe and loving community in Southwest Houston.

Christmas Presence

Sunday morning, December 23rd at 10:45am, the choir will present “Christmas Presence – A Gathering of Hope, Peace, and Love.” In this cantata, the “concept of being present weaves through the music and the narration present a challenge to experience Christmas in God’s presence and the presence of those around us.” – Pepper Choplin.

Opportunities to Serve
We are looking for 2 narrators to read during the cantata. If you are interested in being a narrator please e-mail Sarah at spoindexter@wmbc.org.

Remembering Our Loved Ones
As we remember the story of the birth of Christ, there will also be a time to remember our own stories, the Christmas memories we hole dear, the people we hold dear. If you would like us to remember a loved one who has passed, please send a Christmastime photo of your loved one with their name and years of life to Sarah at spoindexter@wmbc.org.
